About This Service

Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) is a higher-intensity outpatient service for adults with moderate-to-severe substance use disorders. SACOT combines individual and group therapy, case management, skills training, and recovery support in a structured outpatient environment — offering more intensive services than standard IOP while supporting clients in maintaining their community roles. Services address the full continuum of recovery needs, from detox stabilization through long-term community reintegration.

Open Positions

1. Clinical Supervisor / Program Manager

The Clinical Supervisor/Program Manager holds a senior leadership role, providing clinical oversight, quality assurance, and operational management across SACOT services. This licensed clinician ensures all treatment is evidence-based, compliant with DHHS Clinical Coverage Policy 8A, and responsive to each client's level of care as determined by ASAM criteria.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NC clinical licensure; LCAS, LCSW, LCMHC, or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in SUD treatment and program leadership
  • Knowledge of ASAM levels of care, Matrix Model, CBT, and co-occurring disorder treatment

2. Team Lead / Intake Specialist

The Team Lead/Intake Specialist oversees team coordination, manages the intake and admissions process, and ensures clinical documentation and regulatory compliance across SACOT. This role provides coaching to counselors and serves as a direct point of contact for complex client situations requiring escalation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field; QP or CADC credentials required
  • Experience conducting ASAM-based assessments and managing SUD treatment admissions
  • Leadership skills with ability to mentor staff and manage daily program operations

3.Counselor

The SACOT Counselor provides core direct client services — delivering individual counseling, facilitating group therapy, developing treatment plans, and supporting clients through relapse prevention, psychoeducation, and discharge planning. Counselors work as part of an integrated team committed to whole-person, recovery-focused care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in behavioral health or related field
  • CADC, LCAS-A, or active pursuit of SUD credential strongly preferred
  • Skilled in group facilitation, CBT, motivational interviewing, and case documentation
