About This Service

Peer Support Services connect individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges with trained professionals who have walked the same path. North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) use their own recovery journeys to provide mentoring, advocacy, encouragement, and practical guidance — helping clients find hope, build skills, and thrive in their communities. These services are recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and delivered where clients live and work.
