About This Service

BHUC is a behavioral health urgent care. A walk-in clinic designed to provide immediate, short-term support for mental health, substance use, or developmental disability crises. Think of them like regular physical urgent care centers, specialized for behavioral and psychiatric emergencies. Operating 24/7/365, the BHUC serve a vital role in healthcare by acting as a safe, calming, and specialized alternative to crowded hospital emergency rooms. BHUC serves those experiencing distress related to a crisis, but do not require intensive, multi-day inpatient hospital care. Examples include panic attacks, severe depression, acute anxiety, or substance use withdrawal.
