Intensive In Home (IIH) is a child and adolescent family service designed to support entire families during times of crisis. This service aims to stabilize the family environment, prevent out-of-home placements, and improve overall family functioning.
What is IIH?
IIH is a specialized, home-based mental health and substance use disorder service designed to support children, adolescents, and their families during times of crisis.
- Crisis Management — Immediate support to manage and diffuse crises
- Counseling — Individual and family therapy to address mental health issues
- Skills Training — Teaching coping mechanisms, parenting skills, and effective discipline techniques
- Case Management — Coordinating with community resources and other services
- 24/7 Crisis Support — Availability of crisis response at all times

Functional Family Therapy (FFT)
IIH Therapists provide Functional Family Therapy (FFT), an evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help at-risk youth and their families focus on improving family dynamics, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Child and Family Team Meetings
SHYAS facilitates monthly Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings — collaborative gatherings designed to goal plan, strategize interventions, and meet children and families at their point of need.
