A Separate Entity, a Shared Mission
Community Support Programs
SHYAS CARES is a separate entity that partners with SHYAS HEALTH to provide holistic community support services. Together, we address not just behavioral health needs but also housing, food, clothing, and re-entry support — because true recovery requires addressing the whole person.
Residential Recovery Supports Program (RRS)
SHYAS CARES RRS is a 24-hour peer-run residential facility. Participants receive a place to stay while SHYAS HEALTH provides Psychiatric Services, MAT, Treatment Planning, Individual, Group & Family Treatment, Recovery Skills Training, Recovery Environment, and Aftercare. Rowan Cabarrus Community Health Center provides primary care.
IRAISE Re-Entry Program
Supporting individuals transitioning back into the community with comprehensive re-entry services and support.
CARES Mentoring Program
Mentorship program connecting individuals with experienced mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement on the path to recovery.
Carolyn's Heart: Clothing Closet
Providing clothing and essential items to individuals and families in need within our community.
Carolyn's Heart: Food Pantry
Addressing food insecurity by providing nutritious food to community members who need it most.
DVA Project (DVA to DVA)
Domestic Violence Advocacy (DVA) Project has developed a fellowship for those experiencing or have a history of domestic violence. The fellowship is called DVA to DVA, Domestic Violence Awareness to Domestic Violence Advocacy. This group mentors and provides resources and assistance for individuals involved in domestic violent relationships. Together they heal hearts and inspire minds providing battered men, women, and children a place of security and hope.
